There will be daily chances for scattered thunderstorms across portions of the Central and Eastern U.S. through the weekend, with severe thunderstorms possible in the northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Tropical Depression Two continues to churn in the Bay of Campeche. It is expected to briefly strengthen into a tropical storm before making landfall in Mexico early next week.

Sunday and Monday are expected to see an increase in showers and thunderstorms, mainly across the eastern portions of S TX. Rain chances are generally low (15-30%) the remainder of the week. Highs will range from the upper 80s to mid 90s with lows in the mid 70s to around 80.
